The Program Coordinator II - Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing, under general supervision, works collaboratively with leadership to plan, develop, implement, and monitor nursing education programs.

Salary: $45,000 - $68,330.50 (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

Program Coordination and Forensic Nursing Education Activities

  • Coordinate continuing education activities and speaker packets.

  • Coordinates scheduling of presenters.

  • Manages day-to-day forensic nursing education and other assigned program activities.

  • Manages learner course registrations

  • Coordinates scheduling and facilitation of team meetings.

  • Documents meetings via minutes accurately.

  • Organizes in-person healthcare trainings to be held throughout the state and online.

  • Assists as needed with facilitating trainings, either onsite or online.

  • Oversees the completion of nursing continuing education applications submitted for CE approval.

  • Develops and disseminates meeting minutes.

  • Coordinates and schedules training with stakeholders.

  • Provides verbal and/or written communication to stakeholders and team members.

  • Identifies and provides available resources to patients in their own communities.

  • Coordinates the monitoring and evaluation of activities.

  • Ensures deliverables are completed by established deadlines.

  • Communicates with program director/PI about program related activities and any issues or concerns that arise.

Data/Grants Management

  • Manages all aspects of the forensic nursing continuing education program.

  • Provides support to the team and other program members in collecting and maintaining necessary

  • documentation.

  • Completes documents, forms, or reports required by funders or the Center.

  • Coordinates and facilitates team meetings and communication.

  • Maintains and/or provides program/course status and/or progress to program leads.

  • Submits reports to funders by established deadlines.

  • Manages expenditures to ensure compliance with funders.

  • Ensures spending is within the budget.

  • Holds team members accountable for deliverables.

  • Compiles data and creates reports.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing

  • Four years of related experience

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • Unencumbered Texas RN license is required or hold a compact license and is eligible for Texas licensure is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in specialty

  • Experience working in a University setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Organizational skills and prioritize activities.
