Key responsibilities
design| develop| maintain| and enhance mainframe applications supporting the MME platform deliver high-quality COBOL| JCL| DB2| VSAM| CICS| and batch processing solutions
analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans
support application modernization and integration initiatives between mainframe and distributed platforms
develop and maintain interfaces| APIs| and data exchange processes supporting enterprise applications
perform impact assessment| code analysis| and technical troubleshooting across complex application landscapes
contribute to mainframe migration| transformation| and modernization initiatives where applicable
support production releases| deployment activities| and change management processes ensure application stability| reliability| security| and regulatory compliance optimize application performance and identify opportunities for operational improvements
collaborate closely with architects| product owners| QA engineers| business analysts| and support teams
participate in Agile ceremonies| code reviews| knowledge sharing| and continuous improvement activities
provide production support| root cause analysis| and resolution of complex business and technical issues
Skills-
7+ years of hands-on mainframe development experience within large-scale enterprise environments demonstrated experience supporting business-critical applications through the full software development lifecycle experience working within regulated environments and supporting high-availability systems
strong hands-on experience in COBOL| JCL| DB2| CICS| VSAM| and IBM z/OS environments
proven experience developing and supporting large-scale enterprise mainframe applications
strong understanding of batch processing| online transaction processing| and mainframe performance tuning
experience with DB2 database design| SQL development| and query optimization
experience integrating mainframe applications with distributed systems and modern APIs
experience supporting application modernization and legacy platform transformation initiatives (must have)
strong understanding of software development lifecycle| change management| and release processes
experience with source control| automated deployment| and DevOps practices within enterprise environments
knowledge of application security| access controls| and secure coding practices ability to contribute
hands-on to development and problem solving of complex technical challenges
Qualifications-
Bachelors or master's degree in computer science| Engineering| Information Technology| or a related field (or equivalent experience)

experience within wealth management| investment management| or financial services domains experience working with Java| distributed systems|
