Storage & Infrastructure Platform Engineer

Therap is seeking a Storage & Infrastructure Platform Engineer to design, operate and automate our critical storage platforms. We operate large-scale databases, utilize high-performance NetApp storage, and rely on Qumulo storage for backups. We need an expert who can not only manage this infrastructure but automate its provisioning, snapshot management, backup and lifecycle operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, optimize and scale our enterprise NetApp storage and Qumulo backup platforms across production and non-production environments..
• Design and maintain space-efficient NetApp snapshot workflows used to rapidly provision full-sized pre-production database environments.
• Collaborate with DBA teams to ensure high I/O performance and absolute data integrity.
• Extend our Ansible automation to cover storage provisioning, snapshot lifecycle, and disaster recovery workflows.
• Ensure storage architectures remain compliant with HIPAA and SOC2 regulations through automated auditing and encrypted backups.
• Mentor and cross-train SysOps engineers to build internal storage expertise and reduce operational dependencies on individual team members.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience managing enterprise storage arrays, with a mandatory strong background in NetApp ONTAP systems. Experience with ONTAP Object Storage is a plus.
• Experience managing clustered storage, NAS/SAN protocols (NFS, iSCSI), and enterprise backup solutions (Qumulo experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with storage requirements for high-transaction relational databases (Oracle RAC preferred).
• Experience integrating storage infrastructure with VMware or other virtualization environments.
• A strong desire to automate storage administration using scripting or configuration management tools (Ansible/Terraform).
• Experience with storage performance monitoring, capacity planning and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Relevant storage, Linux or infrastructure certifications, such as NetApp or Red Hat certifications are a plus.
