Job Description
Data Engineer - Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake & dbt
Join the Data & Analytics organization to help build scalable data solutions, drive business insights, and enable data-driven decision-making across Thomson Reuters. The role combines data engineering, analytics, visualization, and AI-enabled analytics using modern platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, and dbt.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business, financial, and operational data requirements.
- Design semantic models, data marts, and analytics solutions.
- Build dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt and Snowflake.
- Create and support semantic models in Microsoft Fabric.
- Deliver actionable insights through reporting, presentations, and data storytelling.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Support AI-driven analytics, including Generative AI and self-service analytics solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience building data pipelines and transformation workflows.
- Hands-on experience with dashboard development and data visualization.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Generative AI, AI-powered analytics, or conversational analytics.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience with financial and operational data.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices.
- Relevant Microsoft, Power BI, or Snowflake certifications.
