About the Role
Join a small engineering team developing a terahertz imaging platform for security and sensing applications. In this hands-on role, you will own mixed-signal board bring-up, debugging, and integration, working across hardware, FPGA, firmware, AI, and systems engineering.
What You'll Do
Lead board bring-up, power sequencing validation, and subsystem integration across multiple board designs.
Investigate signal integrity, power, and RF performance issues, identify root causes, and drive design improvements.
Work with an external design firm on schematic updates and layout reviews, then manage fabrication, characterization, and validation of board revisions.
Partner with FPGA, firmware, and systems engineers to validate subsystem and system-level integration.
Develop traceability and test procedures to support increased production volumes.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 to 7 years of experience in mixed-signal hardware bring-up, debugging, and board-level integration.
Experience with mixed-signal design, including ADCs and DACs, DC/DC converters, RF interfaces, power sequencing, and signal integrity.
Experience with complex PCB assemblies, schematic review, and PCB CAD tools such as Altium.
Ability to identify and solve problems independently, and willingness to contribute across disciplines.
Background in telecom, radar, or complex sensing systems is helpful. FPGA bring-up experience, including Petalinux or AMD Kria SOM, is also useful.
Prior experience working on-site five days per week in Santa Clara, California, and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency are required.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $160,000 to $180,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
