TTP

TTP is a British technology development company founded in 1987 and based at its own campus in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire. Its engineers and scientists develop products in diagnostics, digital printing, communications and industrial systems for client companies. The firm is employee owned and has spun out numerous businesses from its own research.

Cellular Origins

Cell therapies have been shown to cure devastating diseases like cancer by reprogramming a patient’s own immune system, offering hope where there was none before. Giving more patients access to these life-saving therapies requires a revolution in manufacturing and process automation.

Cellular Origins, a TTP company, is leading this revolution. Our proprietary technology tackles the challenges of large-scale production with an elegant robotic automation system that cuts costs, reduces labour, eliminates human error, and boosts efficiency.

As a Senior Platform Engineer working within our software engineering group, you’ll design the architecture needed for our test, build and deployment pipelines as well as the services that underpin our factory software. You will guide technical decisions covering our full technology stack including on-prem hardware, hypervisors, container orchestration, platform services, application software, robotics and cloud.

You’ll be a subject matter expert who is able to provide practical help and guidance to allow the whole team to make the most of our platform. This includes advising on regulatory and security best-practices for local continuous integration and remote factory production environments.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll regularly diagnose issues with CI/CD pipelines, perform maintenance, deploy into new factory networks and review the contributions of others in the team.

This is an opportunity to join a truly multi-disciplinary team and broaden your skillset. As well as working within an established software group, you’ll regularly collaborate across robotics, systems engineering and test teams.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have a strong background in the design, implementation and deployment of platform infrastructure and services to enable rapid and robust delivery of software to both in-house and remote environments. Your open and collaborative working style combined with a breadth of technical knowledge will allow you to work effectively with the whole team.

Essential:

  • Ability to design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines backed by high quality technical documentation. Strong understanding of DevOps best practices (BitBucket/GitHub, Jenkins/CircleCI etc).

  • Practical experience in some of the following: setting up servers, networking, storage, virtualization, containerization or cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).

  • Experience designing and deploying infrastructure for software delivery to on-prem and remote environments.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when supporting developers and other stakeholders to make best use of our platform.

Desirable:

  • Interest or previous experience working with robotic automation systems or in regulated environments.

  • Understanding of security best-practices in DevOps.

  • Demonstrated ability to gather and refine technical and business requirements.

  • Ability to evaluate and integrate new technologies into an existing platform.
