#136105 - Technical Lead - Full-Stack Production Systems

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to support a live, high-traffic production platform. This role combines full-stack engineering, production troubleshooting, deployment ownership, and technical leadership across several interconnected systems.

The Technical Lead will diagnose urgent issues, coordinate engineers, partner with client-facing teams, and drive reliable delivery across multiple concurrent projects.

Enterprise experience strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, triage, and resolve production issues affecting live platform activity.
• Debug issues across interconnected backend, frontend, data, and integration systems.
• Partner with client-facing and go-to-market teams to prioritize and address support requests.
• Drive timely issue resolution against established service-level expectations.
• Monitor production systems and respond quickly to alerts and performance degradation.
• Support architecture changes and system integrations that affect platform behavior.
• Maintain application logic as dependencies and upstream systems change.
• Independently own code changes from implementation through merge, deployment, and production validation.
• Lead, shepherd, onboard, and coordinate other engineers while remaining hands-on with delivery.
• Manage ambiguity and prioritize work strategically across concurrent projects.

Must-Have Skills

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience as a primary backend stack.
• Hands-on Django and Python experience as a secondary backend stack.
• Production frontend-development experience with React.
• Hands-on Kafka experience.
• Hands-on GraphQL experience.
• Strong experience with SQL or MongoDB.
• Build and deployment experience, including personally merging and deploying production code.
• Experience with at least one of Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.
• Demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly and own work across multiple concurrent projects.
• High ownership, initiative, and autonomy without requiring hand-holding.
• Technical leadership experience that includes leading, shepherding, and onboarding engineers.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing or coordinating the work of others.
• Clear and concise communication.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and make sound prioritization decisions.
• Strategic thinking and strong production problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use data and system signals to troubleshoot production issues.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Product-management experience partnering with go-to-market teams and engineers on prioritization.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf.
