Purpose
The Space and Geophysics Laboratory (SGL) delivers multi-platform software suites to government customers for multiple and varied applications, from real-time data-intensive network operations to standalone remote field systems, in both Linux and Windows environments. We are seeking a developer with a solid understanding of object-oriented design, databases, and data structures to join our team. As a member of the team you will be designing, implementing and maintaining software using C++.
Responsibilities
Provide detailed software design in a team environment
Perform implementation from detailed design
Perform unit, regression, and integration testing as appropriate
Create/maintain application documentation
Other related functions as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other applied science.
Three or more years of experience as a C++ developer in a Linux environment.
Experience with Python and the Numpy / Scipy stacks.
Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
Ability to debug software at all stages of development life cycle.
Experience in Object-Oriented design and multi-threaded programming.

Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics
Eight or more years professional experience as a software developer
Experience with database application development
Eight or more years developing C++ applications
Demonstrated experience with object-oriented design and methodologies
Experience with cloud services (AWS)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Salary Range
$104,000-$174,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
