The VELUX Group is a Danish maker of roof windows, flat roof skylights and modular skylights for commercial buildings, plus blinds, roller shutters and smart-home controls, headquartered in Hørsholm north of Copenhagen. Founded in 1941 by Villum Kann Rasmussen, it is family- and foundation-owned through VKR Holding, runs about 20 production companies in 12 countries and sales companies in 37 countries, and employs more than 11,000 people. It hires production, maintenance and quality staff, welders and machine operators, sales representatives and engineers, embedded software developers, and strategy, logistics and customer service specialists.

Are you motivated by turning complex data challenges into clear, measurable and scalable solutions? Do you enjoy working across business and technology to improve the quality, reliability and usability of product data? Then join Product Data & Systems and help shape the future of trusted product data at VELUX.

Meet your future team

You will report to the Director of Product Data & Systems and join a team responsible for supporting VELUX business and production processes with reliable product data. The team works across Product Lifecycle Management and Master Data. The team is currently on a transformative journey, where you will play a central role in improving how product data is created, controlled and used across VELUX.

What we offer

As Product Data & Analytics Specialist, your work will directly improve product data, governance, systems and AI readiness across Product & Innovation at VELUX. You will get the opportunity to combine data quality engineering, AI-enabled analytics and automation, with collaborating across business and technology to build scalable solutions.

Your work will lead to improved product data quality, more automated and continuously monitored controls, fewer recurring defects and less manual remediation, and trusted dashboards that support better decisions.

More specifically your tasks will be to:

  • Design and implement automated data quality rules and controls for product master data, attributes, specifications and digital product content, using industry standards.
  • Profile data, identify anomalies, and use AI to detect issues, identify root causes, and prioritize improvement opportunities.
  • Build reusable validation frameworks across source systems, Snowflake, ERP, APIs, and downstream digital channels.
  • Define and maintain product data analytics, quality KPIs, scorecards and targets within Product Data & Systems. Build Power BI dashboards and data models that show quality by product family, market, attribute, system and owner.
  • Support strategic initiatives and other functions with targeted Power BI dashboards and analytics, for example within product complexity, sustainability and digital engineering, where data-driven transparency is needed for decision-making.
  • Map product data flows end to end and find opportunities to simplify models, harmonize definitions and use AI and automation to reduce complexity and prevent recurring issues.
  • Translate business rules and product data requirements into executable quality controls. Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, system owners and business stakeholders to establish definitions, ownership and quality expectations, and maintain relevant documentation.

The role is located in Østbirk with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week when tasks and projects allow. You can expect limited travelling in Denmark and abroad - up to 15 days yearly.

What you will bring into the organization

You bring experience with data quality, data engineering, analytics, master data, or a closely related field. You take a structured and methodical approach, are curious about why data issues occur-not only where-and focus on preventing them from recurring. You turn ambiguous problems into measurable solutions and look for ways to automate, simplify and standardize business results in mind.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Have solid SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets, including profiling, reconciliation, anomaly detection and root-cause analysis.
  • Have practical experience working in Snowflake or a comparable cloud data platform, with an understanding of data architecture, modelling, integrations, APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines and end-to-end data flows.
  • Have experience applying AI-enabled or conversational analytics to detect issues and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Have practical Python skills for data analysis, validation and automation.
  • Have experience building Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX measures and actionable dashboards, and can translate technical metrics into clear business insights.
  • Can design rule-based validation frameworks, quality dimensions and automated controls.
  • Can communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SAP and PLM Windchill is an advantage.
