Your impact:

We're looking for a resourceful, analytically minded SEO Engineer to join the Yardi Matrix marketing and editorial team. Your primary focus will be Yardi Matrix, the industry's most comprehensive market intelligence platform for equity investors, lenders and property managers who underwrite and manage institutional real estate investments. You'll also contribute to SEO efforts for Commercial Property Executive (CPE) and Multi-Housing News (MHN), two of the most widely read trade publications in the commercial and multifamily real estate space.

In this role, you will own search strategy and execution across Yardi Matrix, CPE and MHN, each with established authority and distinct audience needs. You will work in a search environment that is actively shifting: AI Overviews, generative chat interfaces and platform-specific discovery are changing how real estate professionals find and engage with information. Your job is not just to track those changes but to act on them, finding ways to extend their visibility and reach.

This position is available in a hybrid regime that implies working from the office at least once a week. Please take into account that you would need to be located in or near the Cluj-Napoca area.

What you'll bring along:

• 3-5 years of proven SEO experience, with demonstrated impact on organic performance;
• Hands-on expertise with website analytics and SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs);
• Solid understanding of on-page and off-page SEO, technical SEO fundamentals, ranking factors and algorithm updates;
• Experience conducting site audits and identifying crawl, indexation and content issues;
• Strong analytical mindset and experience working with data to surface insights and recommend action;
• Good written and spoken English.

It is considered a plus:

• Experience tracking and optimizing for AI-driven search surfaces, including AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and other generative search environments;
• Familiarity with video and social search optimization for platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, where B2B audiences are increasingly active;
• HTML/CSS knowledge;
• Advanced Excel skills;
• Experience with conversion optimization, A/B testing or multivariate experiments;
• Familiarity with the B2B data or commercial real estate media landscape.

What you'll do:

• Own SEO strategy and execution for Yardi Matrix, with supporting contributions to CPE and MHN;
• Optimize website architecture, content structure and internal linking to improve organic visibility and rankings;
• Perform regular technical audits to identify and resolve crawl errors, indexation issues, broken links, duplicate content and site speed problems;
• Conduct ongoing keyword research, discovery and opportunity mapping aligned to audience intent across platforms;
• Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic and key SEO KPIs;
• Conduct on-page optimizations including meta tags, headers, schema markup, internal links and content formatting;
• Partner with editorial teams on CPE and MHN to integrate SEO best practices into content programming and page-level strategy;
• Work with development teams to implement technical SEO initiatives on site;
• Benchmark competitor sites for organic visibility, keyword strategy, backlink profiles and technical structure;
• Track and analyze how AI-generated search responses (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.) are influencing traffic patterns across our publications and identify optimization opportunities;
• Prepare reports, project documentation and technical specifications;
• Stay current on SEO, GEO and AI search developments and bring relevant opportunities forward.
