Overview

Berkshire Hathaway Energy is the energy holding company of Berkshire Hathaway, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, that owns electric and gas utilities, natural gas pipelines, renewable generation and transmission businesses. Its subsidiaries include MidAmerican Energy, PacifiCorp, NV Energy, Northern Powergrid, BHE GT&S pipelines and BHE Renewables, serving millions of utility customers in the US, Canada and the UK, and it is developing lithium recovery from geothermal brine in California. It hires substation, gas systems and process engineers, line mechanics, pipeline and compression technicians, attorneys, regulatory accountants, software engineers and auditors.
