Overview
QatarEnergy is the state-owned national petroleum company of Qatar, headquartered in Doha, responsible for oil and gas exploration, production, refining, LNG, petrochemicals, transport and storage in the country. Created in 1974 and known as Qatar Petroleum until 2021, it runs industrial cities and facilities at Mesaieed, Ras Laffan and Dukhan and markets LNG, petroleum, petrochemical and fertilizer products worldwide through its own offices and joint ventures. It hires process, mechanical, electrical and reservoir engineers, plant operators, safety technicians, maintenance supervisors and IT and commercial specialists, mostly for Doha and Mesaieed.
