Overview
Square Enix is a Tokyo game publisher formed in 2003 from the merger of Square and Enix. It owns the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest franchises, operates the long running Final Fantasy XIV online service and publishes titles worldwide. The company also runs manga publishing and arcade businesses in Japan.
