Financial Manager

• Margin and cash first: every pricing, supplier and deal decision protects margin and cash. Grow while reducing cost: support top-line growth through pricing and deals while lowering supplier spend and the cost to serve.
• Scalability: build pricing, spend and deal-approval processes that absorb growth without a matching increase in headcount or cost.
• Efficiency and simplicity: keep price lists, discount rules and approval processes simple, and take out manual effort.
• Automation, AI and ERP: drive automation of pricing, spend analysis and deal evaluation

Required Tasks

• Pricing strategy and governance for subscription, hardware, installation and value-added services
• Pricing models and scenarios: price changes, bundling, promotions and discounting
• Margin and profitability by product, service and customer segment, including unit economics and cost to serve
• Annual price increase modelling and impact assessment
• Discount guardrails and deal approval limits, and monitoring of compliance
• Supplier spend forecasting and analysis, and purchase price variance
• Financial review of major supplier contracts (pricing, rebates, payment terms, foreign exchange and liability)
• Supplier rebate accounting, and supplier cost savings and renegotiation opportunities
• Inventory valuation and provisioning, and the working capital impact of procurement
• Financial evaluation of major customer and supplier deals and commercial proposals

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)), CIMA or ACCA qualification, or a B.Com (Hons) / MBA with a finance focus.
• Master’s degree advantageous
• Minimum 8 years in financial planning, FP&A or commercial finance, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Demonstrated experience in pricing strategy, revenue management or commercial modelling.
• Experience in subscription, SaaS, telematics, technology or other recurring-revenue businesses (advantageous).
