Position Summary
The Cybersecurity Analyst supports the Security Operations Center by monitoring security alerts, performing initial triage, investigating suspicious activity, and escalating confirmed threats. This role is ideal for candidates looking to develop hands-on incident response and threat detection skills.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and triage security alerts from SIEM, EDR, Email, and cloud security platforms.
Investigate suspicious activity and gather supporting evidence.
Escalate incidents according to SOC procedures and playbooks.
Document findings, actions, and investigation outcomes.
Assist with threat hunting, incident response, and security improvement initiatives.
Participate in training and continuous learning activities.
Qualifications
Degree or coursework in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
Basic understanding of networking, Windows, and cybersecurity principles.
Familiarity with security tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Defender is a plus.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Certifications
CompTIA Security+
ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
