The product is cloud software that helps technical teams collaborate, already in production and relied on daily by paying customers. This role runs the engineering team behind it: delivery, technical direction, and the processes that let a team move quickly without breaking things people depend on.

What you'll do

  • Lead the engineering team day to day, owning delivery and technical direction
  • Architect projects end to end and make the high-leverage calls across React, Node.js and AWS
  • Put in place the engineering processes, standards and rituals that keep a team shipping safely
  • Mentor engineers and raise the bar across the team
  • Turn complex, ambiguous problems into clear plans and drive them to done
  • Make deliberate trade-offs between taking on technical debt and delivering what the business needs

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience. Strong senior engineers ready to step up into a lead role are welcome
  • Deep, hands-on command of React, Node.js and AWS
  • A track record of technical leadership: architecting systems, mentoring engineers, establishing engineering process
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
  • Excellent communication in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
