Responsibilities
· Incident & ProblemManagement: Monitorproduction systems proactively, manage and triage L2/L3 incidents, coordinateresolution efforts, and adhere to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
· Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead formal and informalpost-event problem reviews, identify systemic issues, and implement preventivemeasures to avoid recurrence.
· System Monitoring & HealthChecks: Proactivelymanage production services by tracking availability, latency, throughput, userjourneys, and infrastructure health metrics using enterprise monitoring tools.
· Automation & SRE Mindset: Drive continuous improvement byautomating routine operational tasks, removing toil, optimizing performancetuning, and implementing scripting/tools to increase efficiency.
· Release & Deployment Support:Support application deployments,release activities, configuration updates, and post-deployment validationacross various environments.
· Compliance & Governance: Ensure complete alignment withbanking security policies, audit regulations, Business Continuity Planning(BCP), and Disaster Recovery (DR) requirements.
· Documentation: Maintain and update technicaldocumentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), operational runbooks, andknowledge-base articles.
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of professional IT experience, focusing heavily on application production support, operations, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) within banking/financial domains.
Technical Stack
• Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Solid database experience with SQL (Oracle, MySQL, or MariaDB).
• Familiarity with middleware, enterprise messaging (e.g., MQ), and API integrations.
Cloud & DevOps
Exposure to containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Frameworks & Process
Sound understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
Soft Skills & Working Style
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills under high-pressure environments.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management.
• Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, weekend support, or on-call standby schedules.
