Senior Java Developer - AI / LLM

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with experience in building AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java backend development and hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise-grade applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate AI-powered solutions leveraging LLMs and Generative AI technologies.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and AI agent workflows.
• Integrate AI models through platforms such as OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or similar providers.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and AI teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design decisions.
• Follow best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.

Requirements:

• 5.5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Good understanding of SQL and database design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI applications.
• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, RAG, and AI Agent architectures.
• Familiarity with OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or other LLM platforms.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to vector databases such as Pinecone, ChromaDB, Weaviate, or Milvus.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
