Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in API Automation Testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise-grade backend applications and microservices. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing scalable automation frameworks, API validation, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust API automation test frameworks.
• Create and execute automated test cases for REST APIs and Microservices.
• Validate API functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end API testing.
• Identify, debug, and track defects through to resolution.
• Integrate automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve test automation practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on API Automation.
• Hands-on experience with API automation tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Experience testing REST APIs and Microservices.
• Good understanding of API authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, Basic Auth).
• Experience with SQL databases and API validation.
• Hands-on experience with Git and version control.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Selenium or UI Automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerised environments.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
