Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with a strong focus on manual testing to ensure reliable, high-quality releases across web and mobile platforms. This role emphasizes deep functional validation, exploratory testing, and real-world scenario coverage, with selective automation to improve efficiency and regression coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Execute functional, exploratory, integration, and regression testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Design and validate real-world business scenarios and edge cases through manual testing.
• Ensure high-quality releases through thorough test execution and defect validation.
• Perform API and integration testing to ensure system reliability.
• Conduct basic performance validation and support performance testing activities.
• Validate mobile applications across devices using manual and assisted testing tools.
• Develop and maintain targeted automation scripts (20%) to support regression and repetitive tasks.
• Support release readiness and QA sign-off.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify gaps and improve product quality.
• Drive continuous quality improvements through feedback, testing insights, and metrics.

Requirements:

• Strong manual testing expertise (80%) with a working knowledge of automation (20%).
• Ability to think from a user and business perspective while testing.
• Experience in API, mobile, and integration testing.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset with a strong focus on quality and user experience.
• Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.

Technical Expertise:

• Manual Testing: Strong expertise in functional, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Automation (20%): Java or Python, Selenium/Appium (basic to intermediate).
• API Testing: Postman / REST tools.
• Performance: JMeter or similar (basic exposure).
• Platforms: Mobile and Web.
• Tools: Jira, Git, BrowserStack.
• CI/CD: Basic understanding of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
