To lead the strategy, governance, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Eurofins business applications and IT solutions, ensuring alignment between technology capabilities and business objectives.

The IT Solutions Manager is responsible for managing the application portfolio, overseeing projects, driving innovation, ensuring compliance with Eurofins standards, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions that support operational excellence and business growth.

This role acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, regional and global IT teams, external vendors, and local support teams to ensure successful delivery of technology initiatives and maximization of business value.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the IT Solutions strategy aligned with business objectives and Eurofins global standards.
  • Develop and maintain the application portfolio roadmap and prioritize initiatives according to business value and operational needs.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for digital transformation, process optimization, and automation.
  • Drive innovation initiatives and promote the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies.

Applications & Solutions Management

  • Oversee the lifecycle management of business applications including LIMS, CRM, ERP, E-Commerce, Data Analytics, Middleware, and other Eurofins corporate systems.
  • Ensure application stability, performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Coordinate implementation of new systems, enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Ensure alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture guidelines and business requirements.
  • Establish governance processes for demand management, change management, release management, and application support.

Project & Portfolio Management

  • Manage the portfolio of IT projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate local, regional, and global deployments of Eurofins corporate solutions.
  • Support business cases and investment proposals for technology initiatives.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and develop the IT Solutions team, including employees, contractors, and consultants.
  • Establish goals, development plans, and performance metrics for team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support talent acquisition, succession planning, and capability development.

Business Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand strategic and operational requirements.
  • Ensure effective communication between IT and business functions.
  • Act as trusted advisor for technology-related decisions and solution design.
  • Facilitate governance meetings and steering committees when required.

Vendor & Financial Management

  • Manage relationships with software vendors, service providers, and implementation partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, licensing agreements, maintenance agreements, and service levels.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiatives related to IT Solutions.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources and technology investments.

Compliance, Security & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with Eurofins Key Group Documents (KGDs), IT policies, cybersecurity standards, LGPD, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Quality teams to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, availability, and business continuity.
  • Support internal and external audits related to systems and applications.

International Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Global, Regional, and Divisional IT teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in international projects, integrations, and technology programs.
  • Share best practices, lessons learned, and successful implementations across the Eurofins organization.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor system performance and service levels.
  • Define and track KPIs related to system reliability, team performance, project delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, system usability, and operational efficiency.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives across the application landscape.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other related activities as needed or at the discretion of management.

Initial Education Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Additional Education Background (Desired)

  • ITIL Certification.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent Project Management Certification.
  • Agile Certifications (Scrum, SAFe or equivalent).
  • COBIT Foundation.
  • Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, or related enterprise solution certifications.
  • Cybersecurity Governance certifications are considered a plus.

Language Skills

  • Fluent English.
  • Advanced Spanish.
  • Portuguese (Native).

Type and Duration of Previous Experience

  • More than 12 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years in leadership or management positions.
  • Experience managing enterprise applications and business-critical systems.
  • Experience working in multinational environments.
  • Previous experience in laboratory, life sciences, diagnostics, food testing, or regulated industries is highly desirable.
