Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounting duties, including bookkeeping and daily accounting operations.
• Record accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and daily fund transactions.
• Perform monthly closing activities, including preparation of trial balances, account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and monthly financial reports.
• Review accounting records and validate financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Process employee expense claims and vendor payments through online banking platforms.
• Monitor cash flow, support treasury operations, and coordinate foreign currency exchange activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and standardization.
• Maintain timely communication and respond to work-related matters via digital collaboration tools.
• Support finance and accounting functions as required.

• Proficiency in Japanese for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Understanding of the full accounting cycle through month-end closing, with accounting knowledge equivalent to bookkeeping principles.
• Hands-on experience with bookkeeping, journal entries, and accounting data processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Experience using accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
• Self-motivated with strong ownership of responsibilities and the ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend process improvements.
• Experience using accounting software commonly adopted in Singapore, such as Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB, is an added advantage.
• Experience supporting external audits is an added advantage.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues independently.
• Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
