Microsoft Hybrid Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a Microsoft Hybrid Cloud Engineer who will act as an IT professional that builds and maintains cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This role will help the team to provide architecture and infrastructure support focusing on design, installation, configuration, operational management, migration, integration, monitoring, and cost tracking of Microsoft Azure IAAS and PAAS services, as well as critical on-premises Microsoft environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, configuration, implementation, and support of the Firm’s Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and on-prem platforms.
• Lead end-to-end Azure deployments and infrastructure scaling utilizing Azure Landing Zones, Azure SQL Databases, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) etc.
• Design and manage secure Azure Networking architectures and enforce Azure Security compliance across all cloud resources.
• Ensure business continuity and centralized hybrid management using tools like Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Update Manager, and Azure Arc.
• Plan, execute, and troubleshoot complex migrations from on-premises environments (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, legacy file servers) to Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Manage and maintain on-premises Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy (GPO), and hybrid identity synchronization via Microsoft Entra ID Connect (formerly Azure AD Connect).
• Lead and execute complex Active Directory lifecycle projects, including domain consolidations, forest/domain functional level upgrades, and Domain Controller migrations in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Design, optimize, and manage Active Directory architectures, ensuring replication health, security, and seamless integration across complex, multi-site topologies.
• Administer and support on-premises Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022/2025) to ensure seamless integration with cloud services.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with other IT teams, vendors, technology leaders, as well as end-users when necessary.
• Transition existing workloads to the cloud where possible.
• Troubleshoot, track, and resolve all support escalation issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems is desirable.
• At least 4 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and on-premises Windows Server environments.
• Solid hands-on experience with on-premises Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration.
• Proven track record of migrating on-premises Microsoft Exchange to Exchange Online (M365), including managing Hybrid Exchange configurations.
• Deep technical experience in infrastructure design, build and deployment, including private and public cloud, networking, connectivity, storage, virtualization, and identity.
• Implementation of Azure networking for enterprise organizations.

• Experience working with or using Azure technologies such as virtual machines, Azure Storage, web apps, functions apps, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Virtual Networks, Azure Site Recovery, etc.
