Senior Integration Engineer / Senior Software Developer

As a Senior Integration Engineer / Senior Software Developer at ITGOALS, you will design, develop, enhance, and support secure enterprise integration solutions and backend services that enable seamless communication between enterprise applications, APIs, and business systems within regulated financial-services environments. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable integration services, API-driven solutions, data transformations, and backend components, ensuring reliable data exchange, system interoperability, and efficient business workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade software solutions while ensuring high standards of security, performance, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Analyses business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs.

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise integration solutions and backend services that meet business and technical requirements.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain APIs and integration services to ensure seamless communication between enterprise applications and systems.

• Participate in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality and reliability.

• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective bug fixes and performance improvements.

• Maintain and enhance existing applications and integration solutions throughout their lifecycle.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, API specifications, and implementation details.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java software development and enterprise application development.

• Hands-on experience in API development and integration using SOAP and RESTful web services.

• Strong experience with Oracle databases, including SQL and database integration.

• Practical experience in Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) development and enterprise integration platforms.

• Experience with Fiorano ESB is highly preferred; experience with Oracle Service Bus (OSB) or IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) is also relevant.

• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API design, and system interoperability.

• Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Banking or financial-services domain experience is a plus.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
