Business System Analyst

Minimum Requirement

• Relevant qualification in Project Management, Information Systems, IT, Business Management or a related field.
• Experience managing projects within a website, digital, e commerce, CMS, ERP or software environment.
• Good working knowledge of SQL.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Good understanding of business processes and how systems support business operations.
• Experience working with developers or technical teams.
• Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into practical business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage website, CMS and ERP related projects from initiation through to completion.
• Gather and understand business requirements and translate these into clear project requirements.
• Coordinate with developers, IT teams, business users and external service providers.
• Manage project timelines, priorities, deliverables and dependencies.
• Monitor project progress and ensure issues are identified and resolved timeously.
• Understand how the website integrates with the CMS and ERP environment.
• Work with SQL to interrogate data, investigate issues and understand system information.
• Use Excel for data analysis, reporting, tracking and project management.
• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
• Assist with testing, system changes, enhancements and new functionality.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and ensure business requirements are met.
• Identify potential risks and communicate project issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare project updates, reports and presentations for management.
• Ensure projects deliver practical business value and improve the overall user and customer experience.
