Data Analyst

An exciting opportunity exists for a Data Analyst to join a high-growth Retail Media team where customer data, supplier partnerships, campaign performance, and commercial opportunity come together. In this role, you will transform customer, retail, loyalty, product, supplier, and campaign data into meaningful insights that support audience planning, campaign measurement, supplier reporting, and strategic business decisions.

This position is ideal for a commercially minded analyst who enjoys solving business problems with data. You will have the opportunity to work with modern analytics tools and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business functions to identify opportunities, improve campaign effectiveness, and help shape the future of Retail Media.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse customer, campaign, loyalty, product, supplier, and Retail Media data.
• Deliver insights, reports, and recommendations that answer key business questions.
• Support customer profiling, audience sizing, and segmentation initiatives.
• Build and maintain trusted reports, dashboards, and reusable data assets.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance checks to ensure accurate reporting.
• Support campaign planning, supplier reporting, performance tracking, and measurement activities.
• Provide data extracts and analytical support to key stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into meaningful analytical outputs and recommendations.
• Identify trends, opportunities, and risks through the analysis of customer and campaign data.

• Degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience within Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar data-focused role.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Strong experience working with customer, campaign, loyalty, product, supplier, or retail data.
• Proven ability to translate business questions into analytical outputs and actionable recommendations.
• Advanced SQL skills, including BigQuery SQL.
• Advanced Excel and Google Workspace experience.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker Studio.
• Strong data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cleansing capabilities.
• Understanding of audience profiling, segmentation, and descriptive analytics.
• Knowledge of POPIA and data governance principles.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work across business and technical teams while managing competing priorities.
