Group Accountant

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in providing visibility across the group's financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and delivering high-quality reporting to executive management and board stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Group Reporting & Consolidations

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
• Support the group consolidation process and ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial information.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reporting variances.
• Assist with the preparation of consolidated reporting packs and group financial analysis.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information submitted by various business units.

Executive & Board Reporting

• Develop executive reporting packs, board presentations, and financial dashboards.
• Prepare meaningful financial commentary and insights for senior leadership.
• Translate complex financial information into clear, concise, and actionable business insights.
• Support board and executive reporting requirements through high-quality presentation materials.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Assist with treasury activities, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity management.
• Monitor working capital performance and key cash flow drivers.
• Support payment approval processes and financial control requirements.
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models and reporting tools.

FP&A, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple business units.
• Perform variance analysis and identify key financial and operational drivers.
• Assist with rolling forecasts and scenario planning exercises.
• Build financial models to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.

Business Partnering & Commercial Analysis

• Partner with divisional leadership teams to analyse financial performance.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Assist management in identifying opportunities, risks, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Support key projects through insightful financial analysis and modelling.

Requirements

Qualifications

• CA(SA) qualification is essential.

Experience

• Approximately 2 years' post-articles commercial experience.
• Exposure to group reporting, consolidations, financial reporting, or management accounting.
• Experience within a multi-entity, multinational, or head-office finance environment will be advantageous.
• Exposure to executive reporting and board reporting processes will be beneficial.
