Group Accountant

Our client is seeking a Group Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional who enjoys working across multiple business functions, delivering accurate financial reporting, and partnering with operational teams to support business performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for group reporting, costing, project accounting, stock management, and financial analysis while ensuring strong financial controls and compliance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Oversee group reporting requirements across multiple entities
• Manage stock accounting and inventory reporting
• Perform project accounting and project profitability analysis
• Monitor costing models and cost allocations
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Perform variance analysis and provide management insights
• Review financial controls and identify process improvements
• Support audit and statutory reporting requirements
• Partner with operational teams to improve financial performance

Job Experience and Skills Required

• BCom Accounting or Finance
• Completed Articles
• CIMA advantageous

• 10-15 years' accounting experience
• Minimum 3 years in a senior accounting role
• Group reporting experience
• Stock and inventory accounting experience
• Costing experience essential
• Project accounting experience essential
• Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, or related industry exposure advantageous

• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Financial Reporting
• Group Reporting
• Cost Accounting
• Project Accounting
• Inventory Management
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Financial Analysis
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• German language proficiency advantageous
