Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification N4 - N6 or National Diploma in Legal Secretarial will be advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Litigation Legal Secretary
  • Sound knowledge of litigation procedures and legal administration.
  • Experience with online legal systems CaseLines, Court Online, SearchWorks, CIPC, and FICA requirements.
  • Experience with Ghost Practice will be advantageous.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent typing, organisational, and communication skills.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to Attorneys in litigation department
  • Preparation, formatting and compilation of pleadings, affidavits, memoranda, correspondences and bills of costs
  • Proofread legal documents and pleadings
  • Opening of files and debiting of fees on Ghost Practice
  • Type letters, affidavits, pleadings, fees, legal opinions and documents
  • Schedule and set up all necessary appointments, client meetings, virtual meetings, court hearings or appearances
  • Debit fees and disbursements, generate or process invoices
