This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Learning Solutions Strategist based in United States.
This role partners with sales teams and clients to turn performance gaps into effective, commercially viable learning solutions.
You’ll guide engagements from early discovery and needs diagnosis through solution architecture, proposal development, and signed statements of work.
The position combines learning strategy, instructional systems expertise, client consulting, and persuasive proposal writing.
You’ll shape solutions around real-world budgets, timelines, technologies, delivery models, and measurable business outcomes.
Generative AI plays a central role in research, drafting, design, and presentation production, enabling faster and more scalable execution.
You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Instructional Design, Delivery, and Accounting to create strong alignment between what is sold and what is delivered.
This is a remote individual-contributor opportunity for a consultative, highly organized professional who thrives on deadlines, quality, and continuous improvement.
Accountabilities:
- Partner with sellers and clients as a trusted advisor, leading discovery conversations to clarify business goals, uncover underlying performance gaps, and recommend learning strategies that address them.
- Translate diagnosed client needs into practical learning solutions, defining curriculum, learning modalities, technology, delivery models, budgets, timelines, and measurement approaches.
- Own the solutioning intake and qualification process, working with instructional designers and delivery leaders to establish clear business and technical requirements before commitments are made.
- Develop persuasive executive summaries, technical approaches, learning design narratives, pricing structures, differentiators, RFP/RFQ responses, proposals, and SOWs that communicate a cohesive solution.
- Establish assessment and evaluation frameworks that demonstrate learning impact and use performance results to strengthen future solution development.
- Research clients, competitors, market trends, and customer needs to improve positioning and increase the effectiveness of proposals and sales strategies.
- Manage multiple proposal and submission deadlines while ensuring accuracy, compliance with requirements, consistency, and high-quality final deliverables.
- Build and maintain reusable proposal content, case studies, past-performance examples, pricing frameworks, narratives, and templates to improve response speed and consistency.
- Use generative AI extensively for research synthesis, first-draft development, presentation and visual production, and formatting, while applying strong judgment and quality control to the resulting work.
- Track proposal win rates, cycle times, loss reasons, and other performance indicators to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across Sales, Instructional Design, Delivery, and Accounting to minimize handoff friction and ensure solutions are feasible, clearly scoped, and aligned with delivery capabilities.
- Take ownership from the initial client conversation through the signed SOW, proactively surfacing risks related to scope, pricing, feasibility, and timelines.
- 5+ years of experience combining learning strategy or instructional systems design with client-facing solutioning and proposal, RFP, or SOW development, ideally with a demonstrated record of winning proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher; an advanced degree or certification in instructional systems design, learning and performance technology, organizational or talent development, measurement and evaluation, communications, or business is a plus.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to transform complex technical and instructional information into clear, persuasive, professional business narratives.
- Strong proficiency with generative AI tools for research, drafting, design, and presentation production, with the ability to direct, evaluate, and improve AI-generated work rather than relying solely on manual production.
- Strong data fluency and the ability to translate performance metrics and evaluation results into actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the custom eLearning and learning-services landscape, including instructional design, content development, learning technologies, and the competitive environment.
- Functional expertise in areas such as AI enablement, leadership, onboarding, product training, pharmaceutical and medical training, sales enablement, or compliance training is an advantage.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, virtual meeting platforms, HubSpot or similar CRM systems, and proposal or content management tools.
- Relevant certifications in instructional systems design, learning strategy, proposal management such as APMP, AI, or data are preferred.
- Consultative mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong customer focus and the ability to build consensus among stakeholders ranging from practitioners and subject-matter experts to senior executives.
- Highly reliable under deadline pressure, with the ability to independently manage multiple engagements, priorities, and submission dates.
- Proactive communication style, with a willingness to surface risks, opportunities, and status updates before being asked.
- Adaptable and comfortable adjusting solutions based on client feedback, market changes, and data-driven insights.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment with minimal travel as needed.
- Comfortable with prolonged computer-based work, repetitive typing, occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds, and occasional attendance at trade shows requiring extended periods of standing.
- Base salary of $75,000 per year.
- Fully remote position within the United States.
- Minimal travel, as needed.
- Opportunity to influence custom learning strategies from discovery through signed engagements.
- Significant use of generative AI for research, solution development, writing, design, and presentation production.
- Cross-functional exposure across Sales, Delivery, Instructional Design, and Accounting.
- Opportunity to contribute to proposal strategy, market positioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Individual-contributor role with meaningful ownership and autonomy.
