This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer, SIMBA Team based in Brazil.
This is a full-time remote opportunity for a quality-focused QA engineer to help validate an advanced AI voice platform operating across more than 71 languages. You will play a key role in ensuring that new features, releases, and core user experiences meet high standards of reliability, functionality, and usability. The role combines hands-on manual testing, exploratory testing, regression coverage, defect investigation, and close collaboration with engineering and product teams. You will work across browsers and devices to uncover edge cases and help isolate issues before they reach users. Your documentation and testing insights will directly contribute to product stability and a stronger customer experience. Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases covering core user journeys, new functionality, bug fixes, edge cases, and product releases.
- Perform hands-on manual testing across multiple browsers and devices to validate functionality, usability, compatibility, and overall product quality.
- Conduct regression testing and release validation to ensure product stability and readiness before launch.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to identify, reproduce, isolate, and document defects with clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, and supporting evidence.
- Maintain organized QA documentation, including test cases, regression suites, test reports, and release validation summaries.
- Work with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to ensure issues are appropriately triaged, prioritized, and addressed according to user impact.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, ensuring quality is considered throughout the development lifecycle.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve manual testing processes, test coverage, QA workflows, and communication across teams.
- Contribute to quality and risk assessment for features and releases, helping teams identify potential issues early in the development process.
- Support testing of voice and audio-related experiences where applicable, with attention to language, usability, and real-world user scenarios.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in manual QA testing, with a strong focus on web applications.
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, including test planning, test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, defect reporting, and release validation.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating closely with engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to isolate issues and investigate potential root causes.
- Excellent written communication skills, particularly when documenting defects, test scenarios, reproduction steps, and test results.
- Familiarity with Jira, Linear, or similar bug-tracking and project-management tools.
- Experience using browser developer tools to support debugging, investigation, and issue reproduction.
- Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a proactive approach to identifying risks and quality improvements.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while communicating effectively with globally distributed teams.
- Experience with accessibility testing and familiarity with WCAG guidelines is a plus.
- Familiarity with text-to-speech technologies, voice AI, or audio-based products is desirable.
- Exposure to test automation tools is beneficial, even if automation development has not been a primary responsibility.
- Experience validating APIs using tools such as Postman is an advantage.
