Reporting to the Head Chef, the Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of meals, snacks, supplies, and other itemsbetweentheKids&CompanycentralkitchenandourOttawachildcarecentres.TheDriverplaysanimportantroleinensuringalldeliveriesarecompletedefficientlywhilemaintainingfoodsafetystandardsandprovidingexcellentservicetoourcentres.

EssentialFunctions

  • Safelydelivermeals,snacks,andkitchensuppliestoKids&Companychildcare centresthroughoutOttawa.
  • Followdesignateddeliveryroutesandschedulestoensurealldeliveriesarriveontime.
  • Load,unload,andtransportfoodcontainersandsuppliessafelyandefficiently.
  • Ensureallfoodistransportedaccordingtofoodsafetyandtemperaturecontrolrequirements.
  • Verifydeliverycontentsandmaintainaccuratedeliveryrecordsasrequired.
  • Communicateeffectivelywithkitchenstaffandcentreteamsregardingdeliveries.
  • Maintaincleanlinessandorganizationofdeliveryvehicles.
  • Conductroutinevehicleinspectionsandreportanymaintenanceconcernspromptly.
  • Complywithallcompanypolicies,Ministryregulations,andhealthandsafetyrequirements.
  • Assistwiththetransportationofsupplies,equipment,andmaterialsbetweencentresasrequired.
  • Performotherdutiesasassigned.

JobRequirements

  • ValidGClassDriver'sLicensewithacleandrivingrecord.
  • Minimum1yearofprofessionaldrivingexperiencepreferred.
  • Experiencedeliveringfood,supplies,orcommercialgoodsisconsideredanasset.
  • HighSchoolDiplomaorequivalent.
  • StrongknowledgeofOttawaroadsandsurroundingareas.
  • Excellentorganizationalandtime-managementskills.
  • Abilitytoworkindependentlyandmanagedeliveryscheduleseffectively.
  • Abilitytofrequentlylift,carry,push,andpullupto50lbs.
  • Strongcommunicationandcustomerserviceskills.
  • Reliable,punctual,anddependable.
  • Successfulcandidatesmustprovidetwopiecesofvalidgovernment-issuedidentificationandbeabletopassaCriminalRecordCheck.
