About the Role
Integration & Data Engineers are responsible for data analytics, data processing, and building integration solutions with our customers and partners. They play an integral role in recommending, implementing, and optimizing integration solutions that simplify and improve day-to-day business operations.
The role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, delivering, maintaining, and continuously improving People Technology applications and integrations. The engineer will work across the full software development lifecycle and contribute to the delivery of scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions using industry-standard frameworks, patterns, and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, Develop and Optimize People Systems
Support the setup, configuration, enhancement, and optimization of People Systems, including Workday and related platforms.
Ensure solutions align with evolving business processes, compliance requirements, and organizational objectives.
Provide System Support
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system-related issues.
Monitor system performance and proactively address risks to ensure reliable functionality and a seamless user experience.
Manage System Integrations and Data Loads
Develop, maintain, and support integrations between People Systems and internal or external applications.
Manage data loads, interfaces, APIs, and integration processes while ensuring data accuracy, security, and integrity.
Work within Agile Delivery Teams
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Contribute to iterative delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support Releases and Enhancements
Participate in solution design, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
Assist with feature enhancements, system upgrades, release management activities, and user adoption efforts.
Collaborate with Stakeholders and Technical Teams
Partner with Solution Architects, Senior Engineers, Product Owners, People teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective system solutions.
Provide technical input and recommendations during analysis, design, and implementation phases.
Document Configurations and Processes
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation covering system configurations, integrations, business processes, data flows, technical specifications, and support procedures.
Ensure documentation remains current and supports operational excellence.
Stay Informed on People Technology Trends
Keep up to date with developments in People Technology platforms, integration capabilities, and industry best practices.
Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, employee experience, and business outcomes.
Engage in Continuous Learning and Development
Continuously build technical and functional expertise in People Systems, integrations, reporting, data management, and related technologies.
Participate in training, certifications, knowledge-sharing activities, and hands-on project work.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Human Resources Technology, or a related field.
1 to 3 years hands-on experience
Experience supporting HR/People Technology platforms, preferably Workday
Experience with Workday integrations, EIBs, Studio, Core Connectors, or related integrations, Workday Reporting
Understanding of system integrations, APIs, data management, and data processing concepts.
OpenStack technologies - Python Scripting, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint Team Sites, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Azure SQL Database, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Experience working in Agile teams and project environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of HR processes and People Operations.
Experience with reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools.
Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise applications and integration platforms.
Relevant certifications in Workday, integrations, Agile, or related technologies.
