Overview

Microsoft is a company where passionate innovators come to collaborate, envision what can be and take their careers further. This is a world of more possibilities, more innovation, more openness, and the sky is the limit thinking in a cloud-enabled world.

Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture.

Within Microsoft Fabric, the Data Integration team enables organizations to connect, move, and shape data across their entire data estate. As data is generated across applications, devices, and systems, our integration capabilities make it easy to ingest, transform, and prepare data for downstream use. Fabric’s unified integration experience simplifies how customers bring data together, ensuring it is trusted, usable, and ready to power analytics, real-time insights, and AI scenarios.

Within Azure Data, the Azure Data Integration team helps customers connect, move, and prepare data to power analytics and AI. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own a product area that simplifies complex data integration workflows for data engineers, developers, and enterprise customers. This role combines customer-centered product design with the technical challenges of building reliable, secure, and scalable cloud capabilities. You will work directly with customers and partner closely with Engineering, Design, and go-to-market teams to identify unmet needs, define priorities, and deliver improvements from discovery through adoption. You will bring clarity to ambiguous problems, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and measure success through customer outcomes and product impact.

We do not just value differences or different perspectives. We seek them out and invite them in so we can tap into the collective power of everyone in the company. As a result, our customers are better served.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs: Engage customers and partners, analyze product usage and market signals, and translate insights into clearly defined problems and prioritized opportunities.
  • Own product direction: Define the strategy and roadmap for your product area, connecting investments to customer needs, the broader Azure Data Integration strategy, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery: Develop product requirements, success criteria, and release plans. Partner with Engineering and Design to deliver capabilities from discovery and validation through launch and iteration.
  • Apply technical and product judgment: Make informed tradeoffs across customer value, usability, reliability, performance, cost, and delivery timelines. Incorporate accessibility, security, privacy, and compliance requirements throughout development.
  • Lead across functions: Build alignment with engineering teams and cross-functional partners, manage dependencies, and communicate priorities, decisions, and risks clearly.
  • Drive adoption and measurable impact: Partner with Marketing, Sales, Support, and customer-facing teams on launch readiness, documentation, and customer adoption. Define and monitor metrics to identify opportunities and improve product performance.
  • Explore AI-enabled improvements: Identify and validate opportunities to simplify data integration through AI-assisted experiences, applying responsible AI practices where relevant.
  • Embody our culture and values.
