Our Data & AI team is at the heart of a leading global pharmaceutical company’s new Business & Commercial Operations organization, enabling the business to become truly insight-driven and future-ready. We bring together data, advanced analytics, and AI capabilities to transform complex information into actionable insights that directly shape business strategy and decision-making.
About the role
As a Business Insights Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in this transformation, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to unlock the full value of data in a highly dynamic and regulated pharmaceutical environment. From commercial performance to customer and patient understanding, you will help translate complex healthcare and market data into clear, meaningful insights that drive impact across our organization.
You will join a dynamic and collaborative team that combines deep analytical expertise, strong business understanding and an innovative mindset, working at the intersection of data, technology and business to accelerate growth, support better decision-making and ultimately improve patient outcomes. This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders across commercial, digital, medical, market access, finance and operations teams, as well as coordination with external research and data partners where applicable.
Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Generate actionable insights from internal and external data sources to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Act as a thought partner to cross-functional teams by identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Deliver integrated insights into marketing effectiveness, brand performance, sales force effectiveness and omnichannel engagement.
- Translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders through dashboards, reports and presentations.
- Contribute to forecasting accuracy and business planning through trend analysis, predictive modeling and forward-looking insights.
- Provide insights into customer, patient and health pathways to identify opportunities to improve engagement, experience and outcomes.
- Lead or support qualitative and quantitative market research and tracking initiatives to deepen customer understanding.
- Support experimentation and learning by evaluating initiatives, communicating findings and recommending actions to stakeholders.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in business analysis, data analysis or a similar role.
- Fluent Dutch and English.
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, Excel, Qlik Sense or Tableau.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, with Python or R considered a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to organize, interpret and communicate complex data accurately.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate insights for non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to turn data into clear, business-relevant insights and recommendations; experience with market research, behavioral science and data privacy/governance is an advantage.
