Data & AI Intern (m/f/d)

Job Description

We are looking for an Data & AI-focused intern (m/f/d) for our Munich office.

Are you fascinated by the latest developments in AI whilst also keeping an eye on the strategic ‘big picture’? With us, you can expect the perfect blend of traditional strategy consulting and innovative work in our Data & AI Lab. We are looking for a real talent who can help us bridge the gap between technology and business impact and actively drive forward our clients’ digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Strategic AI analysis & research: You’ll conduct research into complex strategic issues, current tech trends and market potential. In doing so, you will confidently use modern AI tools (e.g. Perplexity, Advanced Data Analysis) to analyse unstructured data and prepare it for management review.
• Support in the Data & AI Lab: You will support our development and consulting team in the conception, development and testing of innovative AI use cases - from initial brainstorming and prototyping through to scaled implementation.
• Translation & Storytelling: You help bridge the gap between tech and business. You assist in designing compelling presentations and present complex technological solutions to our clients in an accessible way.
• Project support & workflow optimisation: You will support our consultants in agile project management and actively participate in client meetings. Internally, you will use your knowledge to make our own processes smarter and more efficient (e.g. by creating AI-supported workflows).

Qualifications

• Academic background: You are currently studying Computer Science (including Business Informatics), Business Administration (with a tech focus), or a similar subject (at least in your 4th semester) and have an excellent academic record.
• Hands-on AI skills: You have practical experience in the intensive use of large language models (such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) and know how to achieve excellent results through smart prompting, without blindly accepting them without fact-checking.
• The ‘tinkerer gene’ & AI mindset: You have a genuine passion for artificial intelligence and a strong understanding of the digital world. You don’t necessarily need to be able to code, but terms like LLM, API or Agentic AI don’t put you off - they make you curious.
• Consulting mindset: A quick grasp of concepts, strong analytical skills, and a desire to think strategically and implement solutions pragmatically.
• Soft skills: You are a strong communicator, a true team player and highly self-organised.
• Tools & Languages: Very good knowledge of MS Office, confident use of common AI systems (initial experience with advanced features such as Claude Code is desirable), as well as business-level proficiency and strong communication skills in German and English (both written and spoken).
• Availability: Ideally, you have three to six months available for your internship.
