Senior Backend Engineer

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Backend Development:

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs primarily using Node.js .
• Contribute to building scalable and efficient applications.
• Work with frontend teams where required to support full-stack development needs.

Code Quality and Collaboration:

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to improve code quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time.

Problem Solving and Debugging:

• Troubleshoot and debug application issues.
• Optimize performance and improve reliability of backend systems.

Security and Best Practices:

• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure secure access to applications.
• Follow security and development best practices across services.

DevOps and Deployment:

• Containerize services using Docker and manage deployments on Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and releases.
• Monitor production systems, set up logging and alerting, and participate in incident response.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in Node.js development.
• Experience with any one of the Node.js frameworks: Fastify, Express, or NestJS.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (e. g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
• Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Background in designing scalable architectures for SaaS or CRM products is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Indore, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and mentor junior developers.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
