Role Overview:
As a Data Analyst in our Capital Markets division, you will serve as the bridge between raw financial data and actionable business intelligence. You will collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, and software engineering teams to design robust data pipelines and analytical models. Your work will directly influence the accuracy of our trading strategies and risk assessment frameworks, ensuring that our stakeholders have a clear, real-time view of market dynamics and portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex ETL pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform high-frequency market data for downstream quantitative analysis.
- Architect scalable data models that support diverse financial instruments, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all reporting platforms.
- Create interactive dashboards and automated reports using visualization tools to provide stakeholders with insights into market trends and risk exposure.
- Execute deep-dive quantitative analysis on historical market datasets to identify patterns and anomalies that inform investment strategy development.
- Optimize database performance by writing efficient SQL and PL-SQL queries to handle large-scale financial datasets with minimal latency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for new data products and analytical tools.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python and R for statistical modeling, data manipulation, and automating complex financial workflows.
- Advanced expertise in SQL, MySQL, and PL-SQL for managing relational databases and performing sophisticated data extraction.
- Strong command over data visualization tools including Power BI and Tableau to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to perform data modeling and structural design to support high-volume financial data environments.
- Exceptional analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and provide actionable recommendations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse teams, including traders and senior management.
- A degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science, combined with 5 - 10 years of professional experience in the capital markets domain.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment across our Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, or Hyderabad offices, maintaining high standards of collaboration and delivery.
