Senior MuleSoft Integration Developer

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Integration Developer to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with API development, middleware technologies, enterprise integration patterns, and production support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and reliable integrations between enterprise applications, databases, and external systems while providing L2/L3 production support and troubleshooting complex integration issues.

Location - Downtown Calgary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, Runtime Manager, API Manager, and Anypoint Exchange.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs using API-led connectivity principles.
• Design API specifications using RAML and OpenAPI standards.
• Build and optimize Mule flows, connectors, and data transformations using DataWeave.
• Implement robust error handling, exception management, logging, and monitoring.
• Develop integration solutions following ESB architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
• Integrate applications and systems using JSON, XML, HTTP, SQL, and relational databases, preferably Oracle.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, including incident investigation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and issue resolution.
• Monitor integration performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to ensure system reliability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployments using Git, Maven, and DevOps tools.
• Implement API security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and secure data transmission.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver integration solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and support procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise application integration, middleware development, or related technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and supporting integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Proficiency with Anypoint Studio, Runtime Manager, API Manager, and Anypoint Exchange.
• Solid understanding of API-led connectivity and REST/SOAP API development.
• Experience with RAML, OpenAPI, DataWeave, Mule flows, and connectors.
• Strong knowledge of ESB architecture and enterprise integration design patterns.
• Experience working with JSON, XML, HTTP, SQL, and relational databases.
• Proven experience providing L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting integration failures, and conducting RCA.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD processes.
• Working knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming (OOP), and API security.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience integrating MuleSoft with Oracle databases and enterprise applications.
• MuleSoft Developer certification.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with business-critical applications.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience with performance tuning, API monitoring, and production incident management.

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on MuleSoft Integration Developer with strong API development and enterprise middleware expertise who can independently build, maintain, troubleshoot, and support complex integrations. The candidate must be equally comfortable with new development and L2/L3 production support in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
