  Job Summary

  We are looking for an experienced Senior OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Accounts Payable (AP), invoice processing, and financial process automation.The consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, enhancing, and supporting OpenText VIM solutions integrated with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA. The role requires strong functional knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, invoice lifecycle management, workflow configuration, exception handling, and integration with SAP Finance.The ideal candidate should have experience leading VIM implementations, coordinating with business stakeholders, managing technical teams, and delivering end-to-end solutions for complex enterprise environments.

  Key Responsibilities

  1. OpenText VIM Implementation & Configuration

  Lead end-to-end OpenText VIM implementations and rollouts.Configure VIM business scenarios, document types, process types, and invoice processing workflows.Configure VIM DP (Document Processing) functionality.Configure invoice approval workflows, exception handling, and business rules.Manage VIM configuration, including process options, validation rules, and document processing logic.Design and implement solutions for PO-based and non-PO-based invoices.Configure parked invoices, blocked invoices, and exception processing.

  2. SAP Accounts Payable (AP) Expertise

  Strong understanding of SAP FI-AP processes.Expertise in vendor invoice processing and payment processes.Experience with PO and non-PO invoice processing.Knowledge of three-way matching (PO, Goods Receipt, and Invoice).Understanding of vendor master data and Business Partner integration.Experience with payment blocks, invoice holds, tax codes, and payment terms.Knowledge of GR/IR clearing and invoice reconciliation.Understanding of SAP MM and FI integration.

  3. VIM Workflow & Process Management

  Design and configure approval workflows based on business requirements.Configure approval hierarchies and delegation rules.Manage invoice exceptions and resolution workflows.Optimize invoice processing and approval cycles.Implement automated invoice routing and escalation mechanisms.Troubleshoot workflow-related issues and approval bottlenecks.Improve touchless invoice processing and automation rates.

  4. SAP & OpenText Integration

  Experience integrating OpenText VIM with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.Understanding of SAP ArchiveLink and OpenText Content Server integration.Knowledge of invoice capture solutions such as OpenText Intelligent Capture / OCR.Experience with SAP IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and ABAP integration points.Understanding of SAP Fiori applications related to invoice processing.Experience with SAP Business Workflow and related technical components.

  5. Technical & Functional Troubleshooting

  Analyze and resolve VIM workflow and invoice processing issues.Debug invoice processing errors and determine root causes.Work closely with SAP ABAP developers on enhancements and custom developments.Analyze application logs, workflow logs, and interface errors.Support performance optimization and system stability.Coordinate with SAP Basis, ABAP, MM, FI, and OpenText technical teams.

  6. Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management

  Conduct business requirement workshops and fit-gap analysis.Prepare functional specifications and solution design documents.Lead functional testing, integration testing, and UAT.Manage defect resolution and production deployments.Provide guidance and mentoring to junior consultants.Coordinate with business users, finance teams, and technical stakeholders.Support production operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

  Required Experience & Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline.8-12 years of SAP consulting experience.Minimum 5 years of hands-on OpenText VIM experience.Experience with at least two full-cycle VIM implementation projects.Strong functional experience in SAP FI Accounts Payable.Experience working on SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.Experience in global or multi-country AP transformation projects.Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and lead functional workstreams.

  Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  OpenText VIM 7.x / 20.x / latest releases.OpenText Intelligent Capture.SAP S/4HANA migration and VIM transformation projects.SAP Fiori-based invoice approval solutions.Experience with shared service center AP operations.Knowledge of e-invoicing and tax compliance requirements.Experience with SAP Central Finance.Knowledge of AP automation and touchless invoice processing KPIs.

  The ideal candidate is a Senior SAP OpenText VIM Functional Consultant who combines deep VIM configuration knowledge with strong SAP FI-AP process expertise.They should be capable of independently leading VIM implementation workstreams, designing end-to-end invoice automation solutions, troubleshooting complex production issues, and engaging confidently with finance stakeholders and technical teams.Important distinction: This is a senior hands-on functional consulting role, not just an SAP Accounts Payable support role.
