Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with over 15 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of AWS Architecture and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to deliver high quality data solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services.
• Architect and maintain data storage solutions, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Optimize data processing workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability issues.
• Implement data governance and security best practices to protect sensitive information.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS services and data engineering trends to continuously improve our data architecture.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in AWS Architecture, including services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and EMR.
• Proficient in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics) are a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
