This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and we are looking to hire Sr. Backend Developerat Brampton, ON with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

Role Summary

Experience8-12 years of overall IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, experienced in building and delivering enterprise-scale microservices and API-driven platforms.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services, integrating with multiple internal and external systems, and ensuring high availability and performance of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services, ensuring secure and efficient communication between distributed systems.
• Work closely with frontend teams, product managers, architects, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Implement performance optimization, caching strategies, and concurrency handling to ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Develop secure APIs using OAuth/OIDC authentication mechanisms, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.
• Integrate with external platforms and services using REST/SOAP APIs, messaging systems (Kafka), and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best engineering practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments in containerized environments.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers while contributing hands-on to complex development tasks.

The pay range for this role is $100,000- $115,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay. Tech Mahindra also offers benefits like medical, vision, dental, life, disability insurance and paid time off (including holidays, parental leave, and sick leave, as required by law). This job is open for contract role too, with a pay range of CAD 60-65/hr.
