Lead Snowflake Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and development of enterprise-scale data platforms using Snowflake.
- Design scalable and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for complex data environments.
- Develop advanced SQL queries and perform database and workload performance tuning.
- Design and implement data models using Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Dimensional Modeling.
- Lead large-scale data migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.
- Develop reusable data pipelines, frameworks, and engineering components using Python.
- Build data ingestion solutions and integrate data from APIs and multiple source systems.
- Implement data quality, governance, lineage, validation, and monitoring practices.
- Drive architectural decisions and establish data engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide data engineering team members.
- Troubleshoot complex production data issues and ensure reliable data operations.
- Optimize data platforms for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Cloud & DevOps Responsibilities :
- Design and implement cloud-native data solutions using AWS.
- Work with Amazon S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
- Implement secure data access and authentication mechanisms.
- Support CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering workflows.
- Monitor cloud-based data pipelines and proactively resolve failures and performance issues.
Must-Have Skills :
1. Data Engineering & Database :
- Strong expertise in Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Advanced SQL development and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of Data Modeling.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT design and implementation.
- Experience with large-scale data migration and modernization projects.
- Understanding of data quality, governance, and lineage.
2. Programming :
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience developing reusable data pipelines and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with API integration and data ingestion.
3. Cloud & DevOps :
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
- Experience with S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
- Good understanding of cloud security and DevOps practices.
