Position: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics

Duties: Owns complex projects end-to-end for a business area, category or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Consults with senior leadership/ business partners (e.g., Sr. Directors/Directors) to understand overall goals/functional objectives, decipher key business challenges, identify tactics to anticipate and mitigate business challenges/issues and develop potential success criteria. Focuses efforts on items that have maximum impact to the business. Contributes to business area strategic planning by providing input and actionable recommendations and solutions to senior leadership based on advanced research and analytical findings. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and promoting a belonging mindset in workplace. Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for complex projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for complex projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Evaluates new data analysis techniques to support prototype development. Collaborates with cross-functional partners (e.g., software engineering, category management) on prototypes and algorithms. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events. Leads the development and execution of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems, and support data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to cross-functional leadership based on analysis results. Collaborates across all analytics functions to develop and implement data analysis strategies and anticipate future trends and analysis.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or a related field plus 2 years of experience in data analytics or a related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or a related field plus 4 years of experience in data analytics or a related field.

Skills required: Must have experience with: Designing and implementing rule-based algorithms for deployment in batch or real-time APIs; Creating visual representation of data to tell a story using Tableau, PowerBI; Utilizing CI/CD tools such as JFrog and Airflow to ensure deployment and maintenance of product-grade code; Developing scalable PySpark scripts to handle large datasets efficiently; Creating and maintaining data models in BigQuery to support analytical and reporting needs; Applying advanced statistical methods such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and multivariate analysis to draw meaningful conclusions from complex datasets and support strategic decision-making; Employing statistical techniques to detect anomalies and outliers, analyzing data distributions, and uncover hidden patterns and correlations within datasets; Identifying and resolving data related issues through root cause analysis; Answering business related Ad hoc questions through comprehensive data analysis; Creating, validating, and optimizing KPIs using SQL and Python to ensure they accurately reflect business objectives and performance; Implementing rigorous data cleaning and pre-processing techniques to ensure the highest level of data quality and accuracy; Cloud-based databases and data warehouses; Version control systems like Git for managing code and collaboration. Rate of pay: $127,171.00 - 180,000.00/year
