Global Trading
The Global Trading team is a fast-paced,collaborative group comprisedofTraders, Trade Coordinators,andmore. Impactful decisions are made dailyto help exceed our clients’ expectations. The team works collaboratively with the Portfolio Implementation, InvestmentResearch,and Technology teams to ensure our executed trading strategies are in line with our clients’ and firm’s strategic goals. The trading team also interfaces externally withthe broker/dealer community as well as the custodians to ascertainmarket opportunities on behalf of our clients.
The Position
We are seeking a candidate to join our APAC Trade Coordination team. The successful candidate, locatedin Hong Kong, will provide support to the APAC trading desk. In this role, you will acquireknowledge of the end to endtrading process from execution through settlement.
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible forthe following but not limited to:
Confirm trade details after execution and resolve any discrepancies with dealers on a timelybasis
Liaise with dealers to obtain trade confirmations for sensitive clients
Ensure all trades are executed within Compliance and regulatory requirements
Secure borrows from securities lending desks for short sell orders
Relay broker trading activity calls and notifications to traders
Assistin the syndication process (e.g.IPO, offerings, placements, new issues)
Liaise with various internal parties, including the client teams, on any trading related queries and issues
Assistin broker onboarding process in APAC markets
Monitor the FX matchingfor Japanese clients
Assistthe trade coordinators on any ad hoc matters
Only Northeastern University students are eligible for this program.
The co-op will take place fromJanuary- June 2027.
