Team and Investor
We're 3 founders Chandan, Shaurya and Divyansh with a shared passion to solve real-world problems at scale and consume content for hours. We started Wishlink in January 2022 when we discovered products on social media that we wanted to buy but could not (in some cases, actually did). We are based out of Gurugram. We have recently raised a series B round of $17.5M backed by leading global investors including Vertex Ventures SE Asia & India, Fundamentum and Elevation Capital.
Role Overview
We are looking for a UX Researcher who can deeply understand creators, shoppers & brands and translate insights into actionable product recommendations.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data Analysts and Business teams to ensure product decisions are grounded in real user needs and behaviors.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both exploratory research and tactical product validation.
What Would You Be Doing?
User Understanding & Discovery
Conduct qualitative research including:
- In-depth interviews
- Contextual inquiries
- Focus groups
- Field research
Build a deep understanding of:
- Creators
- Shoppers
- Brands
Identify unmet needs, pain points, motivations and mental models.
Convert observations into opportunity areas for product teams.
Product Development Research
Validate concepts before development.
Conduct usability testing on:
- Wireframes
- Prototypes
- Live products
Evaluate discoverability, usability, comprehension and adoption barriers.
Work with Product and Design teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Quantitative Research
Design and analyze surveys.
Partner with analytics teams to:
- Understand behavioral patterns
- Form hypotheses
- Validate assumptions
Use data to support qualitative findings.
Research Operations
Build and maintain:
- Research repository
- Insight library
- User panels
- Persona documentation
Create repeatable research processes and standards.
Strategic Impact
- Influence product roadmap through evidence-backed recommendations.
- Present findings to leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive customer-centric decision making across the organization.
What are We Looking For?
Must Have
- 3-7 years of UX Research experience.
- Experience in consumer products, marketplaces, social products, creator economy, e-commerce or SaaS.
- Strong qualitative research skills.
- Experience conducting and moderating interviews independently.
- Experience planning and running usability studies.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of qualitative data into clear insights.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving startup environments.
Good To Have
- Experience with mixed-method research.
- Experience using:
- UserTesting
- Hotjar
- Mixpanel
- Amplitude
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and experimentation.
- Experience researching creator ecosystems, influencer marketing, or shopping behavior.
Someone who can answer questions like:
- Why are creators not adopting a feature?
- What prevents shoppers from purchasing?
- How do successful creators actually work?
- What motivates creators to stay active daily?
- What should we build next and why?
