Overview
Astro Mechanica develops an adaptive-cycle jet engine driven by an electric turbine, aimed at aircraft that must be efficient from takeoff through supersonic cruise. Decoupling the compressor from the turbine lets the engine change its operating cycle in flight. The company has tested engine hardware and targets high-speed aviation and defence customers.
