We're now looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join Circular Workspace Solutions (CWS) Finance in Gothenburg. This is an opportunity for someone with a strong accounting foundation who wants to do more than maintain existing processes. You'll help strengthen our financial reporting, bring greater consistency across our entities, and turn manual ways of working into smarter, more efficient ones.

About the Role:

As Financial Controller, you'll work across our CWS entities alongside local Finance and Accounting teams and CWS Business Control. Your foundation will be Finance and accounting: improving closing quality, strengthening P&L and balance sheet control, and creating better visibility across areas such as receivables, inventory and cash flow.

But the role goes further than that.

Our Finance landscape spans several entities with different processes and ways of working. You'll help us bring these closer together - understanding how things work today, identifying where we can simplify, and helping implement a more consistent way of working across CWS Finance.

You'll also take financial responsibility and coordination for selected entities, working closely with and supporting both our Head of Accounting and the local Finance Director in key processes. As we continue developing our use of technology, you'll have the opportunity to help turn new digital and AI-enabled ways of working into practical improvements within Finance.

What you will do:

• Support and strengthen month-end closing across CWS entities.

• Improve the quality and consistency of P&L and balance sheet reporting.

• Follow up and create better visibility around receivables, inventory and cash flow.

• Take financial responsibility and coordination for selected entities.

• Support with the preparation of annual reports for CWS entities.

• Work closely with local Finance and Accounting teams to establish more consistent processes.

• Review existing ways of working and identify opportunities to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.

• Support the implementation of digital, automation and AI-enabled Finance use cases.

• Contribute to building a more connected and scalable One CWS Finance organization.

The position is based in our Gothenburg office, where you'll be close to key Finance stakeholders.

We believe you have

• At least 5 years of relevant experience within Finance, accounting or financial controlling, with a strong focus onmonth-end closing, P&L and balance sheet control.

• Experience working independently with financial processes and taking ownership from issue to solution.

• Experience with ERP systems such as Visma, Jeeves or similar platforms.

• The confidence and integrity to challenge existing ways of working constructively.

• An interest in improving processes and making Finance simpler, more consistent and efficient.

• Strong English and Swedish communication skills given the close collaboration with local Finance stakeholders.

• A genuine interest in AI, automation and new technology, ideally with experience using these tools beyond everyday administrative tasks.

• Experience with Power BI is a plus, but not a requirement.

Experience from both a larger, structured organization and a smaller, fast-moving or scale-up environment is particularly interesting to us. You might also have held broad accounting responsibility in a smaller company and now want to apply that experience in a larger international setting.
