Financial Manager

Job Description:

• Oversee the full financial management function of the healthcare facility.
• Oversee debtor and creditor management, ensuring effective collections and supplier relationships.
• Ensure VAT, PAYE, payroll, and statutory compliance requirements are met.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and financial forecasting.
• Control supplier payments and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Support budgeting processes, financial planning, and cost modelling initiatives.
• Monitor departmental performance, revenue streams, and operational profitability.
• Assist with audits, financial statements, and control improvements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
• Track debtor ageing, collections, and key financial performance indicators.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial systems and controls.

Skills & Experience:

• 5-10 years’ relevant finance experience.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitals, medical billing, or related environments - advantageous.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management experience.
• Experience with accounting systems and reporting dashboards.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to support operational decision making.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with management, suppliers, and medical professionals.

Qualification:

• CA(SA), PA(SA), AGA(SA), CIMA, OR Equivalent
