Software developer

• A BCom, BSc or equivalent qualification in a relevant field will be advantageous
• 3-5 years of relevant software development experience
• Practical experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and best practices
• Proficiency in C# and .NET
• Experience with .NET Web Forms and MVC 2.0 or later
• Working knowledge of ASP.NET, including Web API and Windows Services
• Strong understanding of HTML5
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful services
• Ability to design and structure data models effectively
• Exposure to ACUCOBOL-GT would be advantageous, although not essential, with a willingness to learn considered sufficient
• Genuine enthusiasm for software development, technology and creating effective solutions

• Develop and implement high-quality software solutions that support business objectives and create measurable value
• Take full responsibility for assigned projects and development tasks, from initial planning through to successful completion
• Promote the use of modern, scalable and innovative technologies to continuously improve development standards
• Gain a strong understanding of business requirements and customer needs to deliver effective and reliable solutions
• Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance internal systems and client-facing services
• Proactively monitor and maintain systems to support high availability, stability and optimal performance
• Build and maintain secure, robust and scalable applications in line with technical and business requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, technologies and service delivery
